Tuffet, a pretty solid SW from my own server of Gorfang has recently launched his own blog. Go ahead and give him a kickstart by using that link I gave ya. (Even though he’s Order)

  1. Place the comment here just in case you miss it in the Yak UI post. Do you find it reduces your FPS with all the mods? I would also be interested in what setup and spec you use with your choppa?

    • My FPS doesn’t suffer in the slightest. My gameplay is actually streamlined with the UI pack installed.

As for Choppa specs, I could write a whole post about it. (I think I will sometime) My spec is based on the principle that if you’re dead you’re not dealing damage. I used to run about 900 str, 800 wou, 200 ws, and 470 tou. I’ve found toughness to be extremely helpful in RvR. Recently though, I’ve begun sacrificing that toughness in an effort to get some bigger booms. Namely, I’ve started using Don’t Wanna Live Foreva’.

With my gear and this spec (and a few extra tricks) I’m a pretty survivable choppa who can crit softies for up to 1900-2000. However, my gear isn’t anywhere near where I want it to be. I’d like about 30 more toughness to pop myself up to 400 (DWTLF takes away 120) and I want as much more ws as I can manage. The one downside of the build I’m running right now is my damage vs. tanks. That, however, is a pretty small downside.

Note: There are many schools of thought as far as choppa builds and playstyles go. I don’t get into the flame wars that come along with them, but I’m open to discussions. This build I’ve come upon after a year of playing my choppa so I believe my opinion to be valid.

      • 🙂 I would even think of any flamage as I am far from uber. Just interested so see what other people do… I swing from full Wrecka to Savage spec and have even tried out Da Hitta as a Warrior priest killer with heal debuffs, dots and high WS. Sometimes I think no matter what I try without backup I end up green toast.

      • The downside to Hitta is that the heal debuff is outgoing only and (this might have been fixed) the cooldown increase is only 2 seconds. I’ve played around with that build before to see the big hits as part of a melee assist train. However, if your crit is high enough you can get in a lucky string of 2k’s which is much more exciting than a single 2500 =)
