Tell me what to play!

Filed under: wartalk — Alex @ 8:35 pm

So for a real life event I won’t be on the game again until Saturday night. I’ve been thinking since I came back to the game about starting an alt. I’ve gotten a little tired of being one choppa in a sea of thousands and want to try a class that is a little more needed. In previous MMOs I’ve loved mdps and support roles, but never really got into the latter here in WAR. That’s where you guys come in.

Two classes that I’ve been thinking about rolling are the chosen or a shaman. I’ve heard of chosen who can put out hefty numbers in terms of damage and killing blows, along with having the whole tank thing going for them. If anyone has some hard numbers on just what kind of damage those guys can produce, I’d be appreciative. I’ve got a 13 shammy alt on Gorfang and have found healing to be satisfying in WAR. The DoT style damage is a bit appealing too, although I’ve never seen a shaman pump out the numbers of a chosen 😀

This poll might not reflect what I actually choose because I’m going to do some more research on my own, but I do want to get a little bit of public opinion here. Being out of the game for as long as I have, things may have changed. I think I can learn to live without super damage, but I would like to get a kill here or there. I’ll let the votes and comments speak for themselves, it’s late on a weeknight and I’m too tired to write any more. This is probably poorly written as is! See you guys this weekend.

  1. Chosen.

    No question.

They are the most powerful and influential class in the game.

  2. I’ve got both. Shaman are a hell of a lot more fun to play. Go with the Path of da Green and life-tap your way near the top of the DPS and heal charts. Lots of kills, enough healing that people don’t QQ about it.

You might not be #1 every time, but I usually get in the top 5-ish for scenarios. Also, instant rezzing is fun.

    Chosen are OP. =p
