Blown away

Filed under: wartalk — Alex @ 5:14 pm

The latest post on Shadow-war, a fantastic WAR blog by the way, goes right along with the kind of feeling I was getting about WAR during my 10-day reactivation. The game might just be getting it’s second wind. That’s not saying Warhammer is the next-next new MMO, but it does mean that the ship is being steered in the right direction. Many new bloggers (all of which are linked in that Shadow-war post) have started writing. Others are returning veterans (since when does a Summer’s worth of blogging count as veteran?) excitedly giving the game another go.

All in all, it’s a pretty optimistic environment. Over these next few days I’m going to be attempting to re-enter the WAR community both in the blogosphere and more importantly, in game. I’ve seen so many old friends still logging on, and that is the best part of this whole thing. I’ve always called myself community driven, but maybe it’s time to turn that around and help drive the community. Something tells me that with a little nudge and a wish, Warhammer could very well become the game we all hoped it could be.

    • I agree, but I’m a very fickle and OCD person at heart. I really try to wrestle it down when it comes to MMOs though; especially WAR. I’ve been following and playing this game for longer than any other!
